How do I release my print jobs at the printer?

As of Fall 2026, we do not have card readers available for our new printers. For now, you must manually type in your 10-digit PennCard Number on the printer’s display to sign in. Once signed in, you can Release Print Jobs and Scan to Email or OneDrive.

Your PennCard Number is listed in the lower left corner of your PennCard. You will need to supply the last 10 digits of the PennCard Number (i.e., skip the first 6 digits). In the example below, the PennCard Number is 1110123400.

How do I scan documents?

The PaperCut User Interface is installed on the Multifunction Printers in our public labs. The application is configured to allow students to use the Scan to My Email and Scan to OneDrive features.

The first time you use the Scan to OneDrive feature, PaperCut will send you a request for authorization similar to the following:

From: scans@papercut.com
To: yourpennname@engineering.upenn.edu
Subject: Authorize Scans for PaperCut MF to save to your OneDrive for Business

Follow the instructions in this email to authorize PaperCut to send scans successfully. You only have to do this once, and this email also states the location scans will appear in your OneDrive.
